I enjoy painting horses, and with an egg this big, I can fit four on there! I positioned them within the four quadrants of the egg, and so they are horses of the four directions! This is an Emu egg, @ 6"H x 3"Dia. They have a pebbly surface texture which persists thru the painting. I bought a few of these eggs from a farmer in Arizona: if there is interest I will get a few more to paint. I have to buy them of course, so the price is a little higher that it would be if the eggs came from my own bird. They are $50. E-Mail about availability: I have two others painted right now, one with wolves and one with a woman seated on the Moon with a smiling Sun.
Below are two of the horses from this egg.
